Warehouse Systems Manager

The Warehouse Systems Manager is responsible for managing all duties of inventory flow, tracking, sales, and reporting at multiple retail locations. Specifically, this includes supervising the operations and personnel of the warehouse, inventory distribution, control and reporting, and managing point of sales technology in the warehouse and at all retail locations. This Manager is under the direct supervision of the Director of Retail Operations.

Examples of Duties:
Priorities change seasonally and include, but are not limited to the following:

Warehouse and Inventory 40%:

  • Oversee computerized inventory transfers and flow of stock from warehouse to retail outlets, labeling (bar-codes), shipments, returns and damages
  • Coordinate physical inventory for openings and closings of retail locations
  • Organize and oversee the inventory count for fiscal year-end; complete end of year inventory statistics for audit
  • Determine inventory levels and reorder schedules
  • Collaborate with vendors for creation of new interpretive and commemorative products
  • Create new items in the Point of Sales (POS) with direction from the Director of Retail
  • Complete purchase orders in the POS and work closely with the Finance Manager on inventory corrections and reporting
  • Safeguard all products and property associated with inventory maintenance and sales in accordance with security regulations
  • Supervise the warehouse functions including organization, maintenance, deliveries, and schedules
  • Assure that all systems that support warehouse safety are communicated and implemented
  • Fleet management including: scheduling maintenance, licensing, and cleaning when needed
  • This position requires travel to all GTA retail locations during regular business hours
  • Attend product trade shows which could require travel
  • Assure team compliance of all warehouse, driving, and stock picker safety procedures

Supervision 30%:

  • Assist Director of Retail and Director of Retail Operations in seasonal hiring of 2-3 warehouse associates
  • Train, schedule, supervise and evaluate seasonal warehouse employees

Systems 30%:

  • Manage the inventory system to assure real-time accuracy
  • Provide training and technical support on POS system as needed
  • Manage all start-of-season functionality and end-of-season duties for software and hardware at all locations
  • Communicate with store supervisors around inventory needs
  • Work with IT consultant to problem solve IT issues

Competencies and Qualifications:

  • Problem solving skills
  • Knowledge and experience with POS and retail/inventory management software and hardware
  • Experience in standard warehouse procedures, inventory management, and software systems (Apple and Windows)
  • Ability to learn and manage safe operations of warehouse equipment
  • Ability to set priorities and work independently to achieve them
  • Experience supervising and evaluating staff
  • Proven ability to analyze data, identify trends and make recommendations
  • Ability to assist co-workers with technology issues
  • Must be capable of strenuous physical activity including heavy lifting (50-75 pounds) in the performance of duties.

Licenses and Certificates:
Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license during the course of employment.

Compensation:
A competitive compensation and benefits package will be offered based on experience.

Location:
The Warehouse Systems Manager will work from offices located in Grand Teton National Park in Moose, Wyoming. Periodic remote work is possible.
