Meet Indigenous Artist Kelly Looking Horse at Colter Bay!
Join us June 30 – July 6 at the Colter Bay Visitor Center for the Indigenous Arts & Cultural Demonstration Program featuring Kelly Looking Horse, a Oglala Lakota artist from the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation.
Kelly is primarily self-taught in his creations and enjoys sharing his knowledge with future generations. He is a traditional singer, dancer, storyteller, and award-winning artist. He creates hand drums, moccasins, and dreamcatchers and doesn’t consider these creations an art necessarily, but an extension of life.
Kelly is returning for what will be his thirteenth year to the Indigenous Arts and Cultural Demonstration Program. He considers Grand Teton a place of special connections. He enjoys connecting with visitors and forging their relations with Mother Earth.
